Personal Teaching

Your Personal Teacher is about much more than homework support or tutoring for students. We actually create individualized and small group instructional programs that expose your student to aspects of the curriculum that he or she may not receive in school. Our program focuses on moving students through the curriculum to help prepare them for the post-secondary option of their choice.

Training and Staff Development

Our team of Master Trainers creates professional learning experiences that are interactive, focused on the context in which our clients work, and include resources and strategies that can be used to immediately enhance teaching and learning in your school.

Client Testimonials

Mr. Miles is a fantastic teacher. He worked with me to help me pass the math section of the GED in 2013. Before working with him I took the test 3 times and failed the math section every time. Mr. Miles worked with me to figure out where I was struggling and then he put together a plan that helped me work on the areas where I was weak. After working with him I passed the test and earned my GED! He's a great teacher!
Mr. Miles worked with my daughter exclusively for 3 years as her personal teacher. With his help, my daughter exceeded standards on the 7th and 8th grade CRCT. She also passed the Math 1 End of Course Test (EOCT) in the 8th grade. Mr. Miles was also very patient and attentive...and he always made sure to send provide my daughter with homework assignments to help her practice the skills he taught her. Because of his help, my daughter was able to test into the advanced math course when she entered high school. My family is super grateful for the help he provided our daughter. I have recommended his services to several of my friends since then and they are all very pleased with the help he has been able to provide their children.

What is the difference between a tutor and a personal teacher ?
Personal teachers provide parents and students with NEW lessons that are designed to move a student forward through a specially designed curriculum.
What curriculum do you use?
Your Personal Teacher uses an in-house curriculum that is aligned with the math standards created by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics as well as the Common Core Curriculum. Our English/Language Arts curriculum is aligned to the Common Core State Standards. Our science and social studies curricula are aligned to the Georgia Performance Standards.
What credentials do your teachers have?
All of our teachers are certified by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission. They have all taken, and passed, the required subject area exams for the content and grade levels they are assigned to teach.
Why should I enroll my child in a group personal teaching session?
Your Personal Teacher emphasizes small group lessons because (1) small group sessions give students the opportunity to listen to the ideas and perspectives of other students, (2) student engagement is increased when students have the opportunity to work with their peers, and (3) Your Personal Teacher can offer discounted rates for small groups of students.
How does your referral program work?
In order to receive your free hour of personal teaching, your referral must sign up and pay for any of our personal teaching packages. Once payment has been received from your referral, your next hour of personal teaching is free. You may refer up to 5 people per month.
